Resolutions Passed in 2022

Resolution R2022-01 - authorizing the issuance and sale of two separate series of General Obligation Bonds known as "Mayor and City Council of Cumberland Drinking Water Bond, Series 2022A" in the original principal amount not to exceed $1,549,998 and "Mayor and City Council of Cumberland Drinking Water Bond, Series 2022B" in the principal amount not to exceed $516,666 with proceeds to be applied to the "Decatur Street Waterline Project" and related costs.


Resolution R2022-02 - designating the City's Sustainable Community Area as a Sustainable Community, adopting a Sustainable Community Plan, authorizing the submission of an application to the Department of Housing and Community Development to become a designated Sustainable Community, and authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator to execute documents necessary to carry out the intent of these resolutions.


Resolution R2022-03 - endorsing an application to the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) for the re-designation of the existing Arts and Entertainment District in Historic Downtown Cumberland


Resolution R2022-04 - approving an application to the MD Department of Housing and Community Development for Community Legacy 2022 Projects totaling up to $150,412.57.


Resolution R2022-05 - approving an application to the MD Department of Housing and Community Development for 2022 Strategic Demolition Funds in the amount up to $500,000. 


Resolution R2022-06 - granting the Cumberland Outdoor Club a property tax credit for tax years 2022-2023 pursuant to Section 9-302(f) of the Tax Property Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

Resolution R2022-07 ANNX - to annex land located along the east side of Messick Road and the north side of Starlight Drive and Limestone Road in Allegany County, MD, Election District No. 16, consisting of 37.69 acres +/- and owned by the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation 



Resolution R2022-08 - (1 reading only) - Declaring the intent to reimburse expenditures paid with respect to two (2) separate projects generally identified as police vehicles and influent screening system upgrades from proceeds of "Reimbursement Bonds" in accordance with U.S. Treasury Regulation Section 1.150-2.


Resolution R2022-09 - granting the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Corporation, Inc. a property tax credit for the tax years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, as provided for by Section 9-302(b)(4) of the Tax Property Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland 


Resolution R2022-10 - adopting an employer money purchase retirement plan with MissionSquare.


Resolution R2022-11 - adopting an employee deferred compensation plan with MissionSquare
