Project Scope of Work

This project includes pedestrian accessibility and bicycle improvements along Baltimore Street from the Downtown Cumberland Pedestrian Mall to CSX railroad tracks west of Queen City Drive (including improvements at the Baltimore Street / Queen City Drive intersection and the Baltimore Street George Street intersection), pedestrian accessibility improvements at the Mechanic Street and Harrison Street intersection (including the upgrade of traffic signal controller equipment and the installation of audible pedestrian signals); the installation of bicycle and destination signage along Baltimore Street, Harrison Street, and George Street; and if funding is available the upgrade of the pedestrian signals at the Baltimore Street Mechanic Street intersection to audible pedestrian signals.
